VOCATIONAL VISITS:The first of the Vocational Visits was held on the 9th August. Derek McIlroy was our guest speaker at the Victor Harbor Golf Club to follow. Members were greatly impressed with the facilities, philosophy, and direction of his franchises.
VOCATIONAL VISIT to FLEURIEU CRASH REPAIRS on 11th October 2012. Meredith and Brenton hosted club members with savoury and wine, before the club inspected the impressive premises. Members then adjourned for a meal together.
URIMBIRRA WILDLIFE PARK VISIT: The up-coming visit on February 21st will be to Urimbirra Wildlife Park, prior to our dinner meeting there that night. Andrew or Cheryl to be our guest speaker.
Second visit was to member, Brenton Abbott’s, Fleurieu Crash Repairs.
The nibbles provided by Meredith were particularly impressive. Brenton
was then our guest speaker that nigh,t talking on his business.
24th JANUARY: Member guest speakers in ALAN KLUSKE and OWEN STEPHENS.
31st JANUARY: ROGER SANDERSON, former Public trustee and current Manager of the Victor Harbor Golf Club, will be invited to speak at the club on his experiences in his life roles. He has an interesting business background and is making a good impression at the Golf Club.
MARCH: ROB WOODS from the Victor Times will speak.
The committee is considering re-instituting the ROTARY BUSINESS AWARDS. This was last won by MAX BELL of the Office Shop for his contribution to the well being of other businesses in Victor Harbor.
Later in the Rotary year we hope to also visit the new FLEURIEU REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT buildings.
