Excellence in Policing Awards Program

These awards are one way of acknowledging the most valuable contribution made to the quality of life in our community by Police officers and staff every day – often in the face of arduous conditions and at no small personal risk to themselves.

Rotary values the role the Police service willingly undertakes on the behalf of the Community as a whole and has sought an effective means to recognise excellence where it is due.

The Rotary Club of Castle Hill joined this program from 2012 and has hosted awards to serving police and their professional non-warranted associates on an annual basis since. Our focus is the Hills Local Area Command and the awards are presented after joint consideration by senior Rotarians and the Police executive within the Hills LAC.

An important feature of the Awards Program is that the nominations are from the officer’s peers or the public: they are not a management award, as such.

Our awards are made in September of each year and the successful nominees are then part of the NSW State Awards Program sponsored by the Rotary Club of Sydney in November.

The Castle Hill Awards were presented at a formal Dinner held at the Castle Hill Country Club on 2 September, 2015. The winner will go to The Rotary Clubs of NSW 2015 NSW Police Officer of the Year Awards, at a formal dinner to be held on Friday 6th November 2015 at the Dockside Pavilion, Darling Harbour, Sydney.

Please be involved and make your nomination. The web form at the following link may be used for nominations; please select the Excellence in Policing radio button and enter your nominations in the Supporting Information field, indicating the proposed award category (see next section) and the nominee's name at the Castle Hill Local Area Command, plus a proposed detailed citation for your nominee.

NOMINATIONS ARE CLOSED FOR THE 2015 EVENT, HOWEVER IF YOU'D LIKE US TO CONSIDER A NOMINEE FOR 2016, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH VIA THE LINK:
