The Roy Martin
Memorial Scholarship shall be given each year to a worthy student from Castle
Hill High. This award shall be an amount set by the current board each year, to assist the selected student with text books etc.
Roy Martin:
Roy Martin was a Charter member of the Rotary Club of Castle when it formed as the Rotary Club of Baulkham Hills on 18th March, 1965 and was the club President in 1971-1972. He was a builder who lived, raised his family and worked in the Hills region as it was developing from market gardens and farms to the vibrant suburb it is today. His workmanship may be seen today in many of the local buildings.
Roy’s children attended school in Castle Hill and on his passing the Rotary Club of Castle Hill established a scholarship in his name at Castle Hill High School. Roy’s wife, Beryl, first presented it in the 2003-2004 Rotary Year.
